Security
and the role of the Manager
Almshouses offer
security for the residents but also promote their independence.
Residents are encouraged to make friends and use the
communal facilities.
Each
flat is fitted with an emergency call unit that can be
used in the case of sudden illness or after a fall to gain
help quickly.
Residents may also have a pendant that can be worn or placed beside you
if you are unwell.
There
is 24 hour emergency cover with an on site Manager from
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. At all other times the site is
covered by shepway lifeline. This service is provided free of charge to residents.
